TPU-Bio Outsole
& Accessories

Bio-based. Slip resistant. Built for the demands of professional safety footwear.

What is TPU-Bio

Same performance.
Fossil-free origin.

A sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuel-based TPU. Made with renewable natural resources like corn, wheat, or potatoes — offering the same performance characteristics as conventional TPU while contributing to reduced reliance on fossil fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Kessin TPU-Bio lightweight outsole provides excellent slip resistance (EN ISO 20345 SRA SRB), flexibility, and durability.

Why bio-based TPU

Performance you expect.
Footprint you don't.

Conventional TPU is entirely petroleum-derived. TPU-Bio replaces a significant share of that fossil carbon with plant-based feedstock — without any compromise on the properties that matter for safety footwear.

Renewable origin
Derived from corn, wheat or potato starch — agricultural by-products, not fossil reserves.
Lower emissions
Bio-based feedstock reduces cradle-to-gate greenhouse gas emissions compared to fully petrochemical TPU.
Same durability
Comparable abrasion resistance, flexibility and mechanical performance to standard TPU outsoles.
Regulatory ready
Meets EN ISO 20345 requirements. Aligned with EU extended producer responsibility trends.
